Handtevy Adds Industry Expert Brett Cross as New Vice President of Education

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla., Jan. 24, 2022 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Handtevy, the leader in pediatric resuscitation systems with electronic, equipment and education solutions, continues to grow its executive team as the company scales. With clientele serving all 50 states, including some of the most prestigious hospitals, air medical units, and EMS agencies anywhere, Handtevy is proud to announce the addition of Brett Cross as Vice President of Education. Brett will help further Handtevy's mission of improving the care for critically ill and injured children by expanding its national footprint and continuing to build upon its educational offerings.

Brett will be leading Handtevy's Education Division, including direct EMS agency training, online education programs, as well as the nationwide cadre of Handtevy Certified Trainers. Handtevy's nationally accredited education program has helped accredit countless EMTs and paramedics throughout the United States, and with Brett's leadership this footprint will continue to expand.

Brett joins Handtevy after working for the Utah Department of Health where he was a Director in the Bureau of EMS. In his role with the State Brett was responsible for trauma, stroke, STEMI, cardiac arrest, Emergency Medical Services for Children, performance improvement, and EMS education programs – a perfect fit for his new role with Handtevy. During the COVID-19 pandemic Brett served as the Medical Surge Branch Director for the State of Utah.

Brett will continue working clinically in a part time role as a flight paramedic for Classic Air Medical, and as a firefighter/paramedic for North Fork Fire Department. He will also continue to serve as the Team Commander for the UT-1 Disaster Medical Assistance Team, a federal medical asset that responds to disasters and provides medical care in affected communities. Brett also volunteers as a member of the Education Committee for NAEMT and participates in other EMS committees, associations, and boards that advance the prehospital provider profession. He holds a bachelor's degree in Emergency Services Administration and a master's degree in Public Administration. Brett is a combat veteran having spent nine years in the Army National Guard as a medic and completed a combat tour in Afghanistan.
