BOSTON, Oct. 27, 2022 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- medVR, a non-profit educational MedTech driven organization, announced today the appointment of two board directors, Jennifer Silva, MD, and Giorgio Natili.
medVR, a spinoff of MIT Reality Virtually, aims to educate and foster the synergy of the healthcare and technical communities in augmented- and virtual-reality innovation for healthcare (medical XR).
Jennifer N. Silva, MD is Director, Pediatric Electrophysiology at St Louis Children's Hospital, Professor of Pediatrics & Biomedical Engineering, and Faculty Fellow in Entrepreneurship at Washington University in St. Louis. Dr. Silva is the co-inventor and co-founder of SentiAR, a venture-funded augmented reality (AR) device for 3D intraprocedural holographic visualization of a patient's cardiac anatomy with real-time catheter locations.
Giorgio Natili is Director of Engineering at Capital One. He has more than two decades of experience leading technical teams through the emergence of new technologies to deliver integrating systems in fintech, payments, mobile, and embedded systems, security, education, and retail industries. Giorgio Natili pioneered the technology used in medical virtual reality devices and led the effort of integrating machine learning in the customer experience for Capital One.
