RALEIGH, N.C., Nov. 11, 2022 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Raleigh based golf player development program, Operation 36, announces the launch of their new book, written by co-founders, Ryan Dailey, PGA and Matt Reagan, PGA. The book titled, "How to Create a Junior Golfer" shares the story of how the Triangle-based company was founded and is designed to help educate parents of a Junior Golfer.
Many parents understand the challenge of keeping their Juniors engaged in golf long enough for it to become a life skill. Many Juniors are introduced to golf through short-term camps and clinics, and their interest fades over time.
Years ago, Operation 36 Golf co-founders, Ryan Dailey and Matt Reagan saw this trend first-hand. They had a thriving Junior golf program until one December, they discovered 40 families would not be returning to their Buies Creek, NC golf program in the spring.
Instead of continuing to teach Junior Golf in the traditional way, they had to figure out why the traditional method was flawed, and how they could fix it. They were determined to answer the question– "What is the best way to introduce a beginner to golf?"
The book shares the behind-the-scenes look at each one of the pillars of the Operation 36 program and why it is relevant for a beginner Junior Golfer. Their program, Operation 36, became a success at local golf facilities, then spread across the world. It is now being used by over 1,400 golf professionals with over 100,000 golfers across the globe.
Ryan Dailey, Co-Founder said, "As golf professionals with over 35 years of combined coaching experience, Matt and I felt the time was right for us to share what we've learned in 'How to Create a Junior Golfer'. This is a short form book, 125 pages that you can read in a few hours and is our way of arming you with the knowledge and understanding of what to look for in selecting the best beginner golf program and environment for your child to develop a lifelong love for playing the game of golf."
The book, "How to Create a Junior Golfer" is available for purchase on Amazon. Parents who are interested in finding a nearby Operation 36 golf program for their Junior can do so here.
About Operation 36
Operation 36 is a Division of Golf Genius and is the most effective developmental program to teach beginners how to play golf. All new players begin on the course, and instead of starting at the tee box, they play from 25 yards away from the hole. Once the player shoots par (36) from 25 yards, they back up to 50 yards, and so on, until they are shooting even par (36) from the full tee box. Participants engage in weekly classes taught by golf professionals and all progress of the golfers is tracked in the Operation 36 Platform. The Operation 36 mission is to create 1 million new golfers over the next five years, and they want to help coaches with introducing new golfers and retaining them for the long term.
