“From our very humble beginnings, we have always focused on our clients and their needs, developing partnerships and innovating in areas where we saw gaps and investing in opportunities that could be a game-changer for our clients."

Logic, the world’s leading consultancy focused exclusively on retail, has announced its 25th anniversary along with its recent recognition as a “Top Workplace” by the Star Tribune. While many companies in the retail and technology industries continue to downsize during the economic hardships of late, Logic is proud to report steady growth with over 1,000 hybrid employees around the globe—including over 250 new hires in just the last year alone.

“From our very humble beginnings, we have always focused on our clients and their needs, developing partnerships and innovating in areas where we saw gaps and investing in opportunities that could be a game-changer for our clients. Looking back over the past 25 years, I’m very proud of what Logic has achieved as we’ve grown into the organization we are today,” states Bill Szlaius, co-founder and CEO of Logic.

Emerging from the COVID-19 pandemic with renewed focus, Logic has aligned its strategic consulting across four new integrated practices, designed to bring together the most critical disciplines for success in the modern retail landscape.

A bedrock for the organization remains its close-knit company culture. “A core principle of our organization is that Logic’s employees care—we care about each other, about our communities, and we care about our clients and partners who have helped us along this journey,” says Szlaius.

Logic was founded in 1997 to assist local area corporations with their systems-related issues. Today, it is a global, end-to-end consulting partner with 1,000 employees worldwide.

Over the past quarter century, Logic has experienced several periods of growth and investment. Logic's first client was a Minnesota retailer, and the company saw tremendous potential in the industry. By 2002, Logic had shifted its focus exclusively to serving retailers, implementing complex merchandising and inventory management systems that now form the foundation of retail operations for companies worldwide.

In 2008-2009, as a global recession struck, Logic chose to invest rather than pull back. It was during these years that the company expanded its skills and built teams internationally. In 2014, Logic acquired Yomari, a local Minneapolis consultancy, to expand its capabilities in data and analytics. In 2015, Logic acquired Austin, TX-based Cascadera to grow its point-of-sale and store systems capabilities. Later that same year, Logic CEO Bill Szlaius was named EY Entrepreneur of the Year for the Upper Midwest.
