Meg Carlson joins Charlie’s Table Team as Chief Sales Officer

Carlson will lead the premium fresh gluten-free pasta grocery store and foodservice sales efforts

Charlie’s Table, the gourmet artisanal fresh pasta served at a growing number of top restaurants that is also certified gluten-free, announces the addition of Margaret (Meg) Carlson as Chief Sales Officer (CSO).

Carlson’s extensive background in strategic and business development roles in establishing new products in the natural foods segment will provide Charlie’s Table with the leadership required to expand its sales channels. “Launching the business two years ago in the throes of COVID, Charlie’s Table focused initially on building a core loyal customer base among individuals and restaurants through direct sales,” said company co-founder, Bennett Hirsch. “Now, with market validation supported by increasing levels of repeat business, we are ready to expand into grocery and foodservice sales. Meg brings a unique category skill set to drive our sales growth.”

Carlson’s previous experience included executive leadership roles as a Vice President/Management Board member of Ore-Ida Foods, Inc., a subsidiary of the H. J. Heinz Company, where she successfully created new businesses, including better-for-you brands like Bagel Bites. More recently, Carlson led Prosperity Organic Foods, as a mission driven company guided by integrity, authenticity, and purpose. She also has a deep history leading and serving on both private company and nonprofit boards. As an active member of the global Entrepreneurs’ Organization (EO) she serves on the Global Membership Committee and has chaired the Subcommittee for Mentorship. She serves on the National Board of Advisors and the Entrepreneurship College for Washington State University. Carlson holds a BA from the University of Idaho and an MBA in finance and marketing from Washington State University.
