The report is of value to all CIOs and IT leaders who are seeking cloud-native platforms as part of their cloud migration journey

We are incredibly proud that Ridge Cloud is recognized as a Cool Vendor. We see the cloud future as distributed and hybrid — with applications that sit on public and private infrastructure and are deployed in any location based on need.

Global cloud provider Ridge announced today that it has been named a Cool Vendor based on the November 2022 report titled, “Cool Vendors™ in Cloud-Native Computing, 2022” by Gartner analysts Arun Chandrasekaran and Sid Nag.

The report points out that 76% of IT leaders say that their organization would prefer to have cloud computing at their choice of location “including on-premises”. The Gartner report also includes recommendations for choosing vendors that can provide "consistent platform capabilities and operating models across the distributed and hybrid cloud environments — on-premises, cloud, and edge — to reduce operational overheads and enhance developer productivity".

Ridge integrates into multiple locations and technology stacks to offer a cloud-native platform on top of any underlying infrastructure in any location — public or private. As a full-service cloud provider, Ridge is an alternative to cloud hyperscalers and does not require any installation or CapEx. Businesses can customize Ridge for specific throughput, locality, and commercial requirements.

“I am extremely proud of our team’s accomplishments in building the technology that we feel led to Ridge Cloud being recognized as a Cool Vendor,” said Mati Lerner, Co-CEO of Ridge. “We see the cloud future as distributed and hybrid — with applications that sit on both public and private infrastructure and are deployed in any location based on need. Because our cloud operates on any existing infrastructure, we enable both the application owners to develop this new generation of apps and the IT providers who want to host them.”

The information provided in the report is of value to all CIOs and IT leaders who are seeking cloud-native platforms as part of their cloud migration journey.
