Voxela VCare is now partnering with N-System-Care to provide end-to-end accident detection, prevention and auto-logging services for nursing homes.
NorthHand, Inc. and Voxela have agreed to partner to provide an end-to-end solution for eldercare facilities, offering services from detection through auto-logging/evaluation and improvement of the care. The new service is called "N-SYSTEM-ai" and has released on December 10, 2022.
SAN FRANCISCO , Dec. 19, 2022 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Voxela VCare is an autonomous AI solution that uses AI image analysis to detect accidents such as falls and wandering, which are the most common incidents in eldercare facilities. The system collects and provides accurate information and alerts caregivers in a manner that ensures the utmost privacy and security of residents.
The new service, "N-SYSTEM-ai," is a collaboration between North Hand's eldercare logging/planning system, "N-SYSTEM-Care" and Voxela VCare. It will be officially released on December 10th, after extensive trials at eldercare facilities.
At facilities using N-SYSTEM-ai, when Voxela VCare detects an accident such as a fall and wandering etc., the nursing staff and other concerned parties are automatically notified. The staff can immediately check the video footage of those accidents from their PC or smartphone via the cloud and take appropriate action. In addition, by automatically importing the accident report into the eldercare logging/planning system, it is now possible to evaluate the current care plan and improve any physical and environmental factors based on the recorded footage. This will enable the prevention of future falls from multiple perspectives.
■Service Features
- When Voxela VCare detects a fall or other event, a video is automatically stored in the cloud and can be played back on N-SYSTEM-ai anytime, anywhere.
- By sharing videos of falls and other situations, accurate information can be conveyed to physical therapists and other specialists, allowing them to consider multifaceted fall prevention measures. (This feature can be enabled on-site or remotely.)
- When handing over between shifts, staff can view the video footage to confirm what has happened, allowing for a more accurate and instantaneous handover with zero information loss.
- When working with caregivers from abroad who need to be more fluent in the language, video recordings can be used as a basis for communication without any discrepancies.
■Service Operation
"N-SYSTEM-ai" has been deployed at eldercare facilities in Japan. The system has been verified to enable accurate information sharing among multiple parties, including all staff-level members. They are planning to expand their footprint nationwide.
