Mashup Media and Blood Cancers Today Launch New Podcast: The HemOnc Pulse
Chadi Nabhan, MD, MBA, FACP, hosts a new podcast focused on the field of malignant hematology.
MANALAPAN, N.J., Dec. 16, 2022 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Mashup Media, LLC is pleased to announce a powerful new podcast, The HemOnc Pulse, presented by Blood Cancers Today, a hematologic oncology news web and print platform launched in 2022 in partnership with the Society of Hematologic Oncology (SOHO).
The HemOnc Pulse is hosted by hematologist Chadi Nabhan, MD, MBA, FACP, who is board certified in internal medicine, hematology, and medical oncology, and a sought-after speaker, moderator, and facilitator. The podcast focuses on new treatments, breaking news, trials, debates, and conference coverage in hematologic malignancies; its launch aligns with the 64th American Society of Hematology (ASH) Annual Meeting and Exposition.
The initial episodes of The HemOnc Pulse tackle new updates on topics related to leukemia, myeloma, lymphoma, myeloproliferative neoplasms (MPN), myelodysplastic syndromes, and cellular therapies and focus on clinically relevant abstracts presented during the ASH meeting.
"We wanted to develop a podcast that is dedicated to the world of malignant hematologic disorders because this field has become very complex, especially in regard to the wide variety of disease states and corresponding therapeutics that physicians should be aware of," says Dr. Nabhan.
In each episode, Dr. Nabhan gathers the best minds in the field to discuss clinically impactful news and topics. The first episode features Hagop Kantarjian, MD, and Elias Jabbour, MD, both from the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, who discuss advancements in acute myeloid leukemia and acute lymphoblastic leukemia and the data presented during ASH from both fields that most intrigued them. Subsequent episodes include conversations on MPN with Ruben Mesa, MD; CLL with Elizabeth Brem, MD; and more.
"Although the world of podcasts is crowded, it is critical to dedicate a singular focus to the niche field of malignant hematology. I am very optimistic that The HemOnc Pulse is going to be a resource for all stakeholders in this field, where experts can listen, enjoy, and learn," says Dr. Nabhan.
Dr. Nabhan has broad experience in all health care settings, having worked at major academic centers and large community hospitals. He also has held progressive leadership positions in these settings. Academically, Dr. Nabhan has been the primary investigator on many clinical trials; has over 300 peer-reviewed original articles, abstracts, and book chapters; and serves on the editorial board of JAMA Oncology. He is the creator and host of several podcasts, including his own, Healthcare Unfiltered, which can be found on DocWireNews.com, Apple Podcasts, and wherever podcasts are found.
"We are excited to partner with Dr. Nabhan to launch this incredible podcast and hope it will inform and engage anyone with an interest in advancing the field of hematologic oncology," says JC Landry, CEO of Mashup Media. "This podcast will be an important extension of our popular Blood Cancers Today platform, and it grows our oncology portfolio, with the goal of supporting physicians who treat patients in this space."
The HemOnc Pulse will be published on the Blood Cancers Today website, The HemOnc Pulse | Blood Cancers Today, and available wherever podcasts are found.
