Carrie McDonnell, Financial Advisor
Carrie McDonnell has joined the One Day In July team as its newest financial advisor. A former school administrator, Carrie enjoys educating and empowering her clients to be smart investors who can navigate investing decisions with confidence. Having worked in schools throughout central Vermont for 16 years and being a longtime resident of Rochester, Vermont, Carrie has established many professional and personal relationships in the area. She looks forward to continuing to work in these communities as the first local One Day In July advisor and teaching clients about the power of low fee diversified index funds.
Adam Roof, Business Development Manager
Adam Roof joins One Day In July in the role of Business Development Manager with a proven track record of advising and leading businesses, nonprofits, and political operations on a range of strategic development and growth needs. Adam brings his experience as a small business owner and non-profit leader, as well as deep community connections to his development work at One Day In July. Adam was drawn to work at One Day In July because of its commitment to delivering value and transparency to clients, and its commitment to supporting the communities it serves. Prior to joining One Day In July, Adam served two terms as a City Councilor for the City of Burlington, served as a Trustee at the University of Vermont, and was awarded the 2021 Outstanding Young Alumni Award by the University of Vermont. Adam also volunteers locally and internationally, including recently helping to lead a humanitarian volunteer mission to the Ukrainian-Polish border in support of refugees.
Betsy Whyte, Executive Assistant
Betsy has lived and worked in Vermont for over 30 years, and most recently worked at Vermont Legal Aid as an Executive Assistant. She looks forward to assisting One Day In July with its growing role as a low-fee investment firm that places a high value on its fiduciary responsibilities to clients. In her spare time, she enjoys performing in musical theater and walking on the Burlington bike path.
Deng Adiang, Investment Desk Intern
Deng Adiang joins One Day in July as Investment Desk Intern. He is a student at the University of Vermont '23 working towards a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, with a concentration in Finance. When choosing his internship for the summer, he ultimately chose One Day In July because the company has a well-supported academic investment approach and an elite group of colleagues to learn from. Deng has lived in Jericho and Burlington for most of his life and considers the entire Vermont community a wonderful place. He wants to continue to give back to the community through the work he does and volunteering efforts.
