ANACORTES, Wash., June 16, 2022 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Swinomish Casino & Lodge is proud to present Native Comedy Jam at 7:30pm on August 20, 2022, in the Wa Walton Event Center. Hosted by Kasey Nicholson, the evening will showcase the comedy stylings of Tonia Jo Hall, Tatanka Means, and Jim Ruel, with special musical guest Mike Bone.
Founded by NSO Entertainment CEO Mike Ruffin, Native American Comedy Jam features a rotating lineup of Native comedians. Over the past year, the show has been at comedy clubs in Federal Way and Tacoma, with a handful of out-of-state performances. This marks their first performance north of King County.
"We are beyond ecstatic to be bringing our show to Swinomish Casino," Ruffin said. "Swinomish is the FIRST Native Owned Casino in Washington State to showcase an All Native entertainment lineup like this."
According to their website, Ruffin's ultimate dream is to have these events across the country, providing greater exposure to Native talent.
Ruffin said, "There is a lot of Native American Talent out there but they just need to be given a chance to showcase their skills."
Tickets start at $35 and are available at SwinTickets.com or at the Lodge front desk. More information about the event is available on Swinomish Casino & Lodge's website.
