Michelle Shafrir of Miner Family Winery promoted to Winemaker

After almost five years as assistant winemaker, Michelle Shafrir has been promoted to head winemaker at Miner Family Winery

OAKVILLE, Calif. , July 1, 2022  /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- After almost five years as assistant winemaker, Michelle Shafrir has been promoted to head winemaker at Miner Family Winery.

After graduating from UC Berkeley with a BS in Chemistry, Michelle went on to receive her master's in environmental studies from Tel Aviv University. Prior to joining the Miner team as the assistant winemaker in August of 2017, Michelle was the Enologist at V. Sattui and Castello di Amorosa as well as Hall Wines. She also held harvest internship positions at Martinelli, Arista and Cuvaison.

Miner relies on partnerships with growers and vineyard managers to source fruit for winemaking. A large part of Michelle's new role will be to nurture these relationships and continue to seek out the very best fruit.
