Pocket watch given by Abraham Lincoln to a Captain Cook for saving American lives to be auctioned

An exceedingly rare large heavy 18k gold enameled Waltham Pocket watch given by Abraham Lincoln to a Captain Cook for saving American lives on an American ship is to be auctioned by Hess Fine Auctions, a division of Hess Fine Art August 20th, 2022 according to Jeffrey and Katrina Hess. Only 400 of this rare Nashua movement were made. The watch has been kept in a safe deposit box for over 40 years and only recently surfaced from the collection of Midwestern Watch Collector.
