Parmetech Announces ‘Classroom Technology Award Program’ for K-12 Schools and Districts
PHILADELPHIA (PRWEB) May 23, 2023 -- Education is constantly evolving and changing to meet the diverse needs of students and teachers. In today’s classrooms, classroom technology has become a driving force behind many of the latest learning trends, with innovative tools and platforms that enhance the student experience and provide new ways of teaching and learning. However, not all schools and districts have access to the same resources and funding, and this can cause barriers and challenges for implementing classroom technology to improve the classroom experience for students and teachers alike, and to keep up with the ever-changing education landscape.
Parmetech, a certified WBE office and classroom technology provider and consulting firm, is looking for a way to change this. “We believe that all education institutions should have access to the same resources and tools,” says Becca Patten, Director of Sales & Marketing, “and while we know this isn’t the reality of today’s education sector, we want to do our part to try and improve it. That’s why we created the Parmetech Classroom Technology Award Program.”
Parmetech’s Classroom Technology Award Program is designed to provide underserved schools and districts the opportunity to access interactive and other classroom technology to incorporate into their classrooms to improve the teaching/learning experience. The goal is to launch the program this summer after the conclusion of ISTELive 23 – a national EdTech conference that will be taking place in Philadelphia, PA at the end of June. ISTELive is considered to be one of the world’s most influential and comprehensive edtech events, supports educators worldwide as they rethink the status quo and use technology to drive good practice to transform teaching and learning. The conference has been running for over four decades, drawing over 20,000+ educators annually. It brings together a community of educators, leaders, and industry experts who are passionate about innovative learning practice that positively impacts student outcomes.
In partnership with their premier interactive technology partner ViewSonic, a leading global provider of visual solutions, Parmetech supplying two ViewSonic interactive displays through an in-kind sponsorship to be used at a Regional Playground, planned by ISTE’ 23 Regional Program Chair Benjamin Smith. The Regional Playground will be offered at (9) two-hour time slots spread throughout the four days of the conference, and each time slot will offer a different theme for the playground, such as ‘Remake Learning’ and ‘STEMinPA’. The Playground is designed to provide experiential, playful discovery of new technologies and practices in a hands-on learning environment for attendees.
Nominations Are Open for the Parmetech Classroom Technology Award Program
To launch their Classroom Technology Award Program, Parmetech will be selecting two K-12 schools or districts to receive each of the 75″ ViewSonic interactive displays on a cart from the ISTE Regional Playground so that they have the opportunity to bring interactive technology and collaboration into their classroom(s). Due to the donated displays being located in the Philadelphia, PA area, the first launch of this program is limited to public, private and charter K-12 schools/districts located in Philadelphia, Delaware, Chester, Montgomery, and Bucks counties in Pennsylvania
