Hargrove Firm Announces Merger with Texas-Based Book Law Firm
LOUISVILLE, Ky. Arising from this shared vision, Hargrove Firm founding partner, attorney, and CPA, Jamie Hargrove and Lorne Book have agreed that Book Law Firm will merge with Hargrove Firm, effective July 1, 2023.
As the Hargrove Firm partner leading the new Dallas-based office, Lorne Book will provide sophisticated tax and estate planning services to clients as well as exit planning services for clients who are selling or on the cusp of selling their businesses. He will continue to operate with the same core philosophy of “estate planning made easy,” while significantly growing the firm’s presence in Texas and nationwide.

Book grew up in Texarkana, Arkansas, and he received his law degree from South Texas College of Law in Houston, Texas. He has been streamlining the estate planning process for families for the last decade. Using his gifts of storytelling and illustration as teaching tools, Book helps clients understand the complexities of planning for the future. He was selected to the Texas Rising Stars list for the years of 2019 – 2021. Each year, no more than 2.5 percent of the lawyers in the state are selected by the research team at Super Lawyers to receive this honor. He is a regular speaker on various estate planning topics in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, and he is a deacon and teacher at Prestonwood Baptist Church in Plano, Texas, where he regularly attends alongside his wife, Kym, and their four children.
