VoicePing participated in an exhibition in Korea(SoftWave), using the voice translation function of its own product
VoicePing Inc. participated in the large-scale exhibition SoftWave 2022 held at COEX in Seoul, Korea from December 7 to 9, 2022. With only a few members who can speak Korean, VoicePing Inc. was able to successfully complete the exhibition while utilizing voice translation function of its own product on the spot.

"SoftWave" is one of the largest software-specialized business exhibitions in Korea, which has been held since 2016. Sponsored by the government, more than 300 companies from the fields of IT services, AI, IoT, blockchain, AR/VR, gaming, and more participate. This year, it was held at COEX in Seoul for three days from December 7 to 9, attracting more than 20,000 visitors.
In addition to the usual booth exhibits, events such as a party to build connections among participating companies, a summit on the outlook of the software industry in Korea, and buyer visits to promote overseas expansion were held during the exhibition, providing more business opportunities for participating companies.
Exhibition activities using VoicePing with no knowledge of Korean language
VoicePing participated in SoftWave 2022 to acquire Korean customers and conduct market research as the only Japanese company. With only one Korean-speaking member of the team, members who cannot listen and speak Korean also had to deal with visitors to the booth.
Supporting visitors using VoicePing's voice translation function
Roughly 500 people visited the VoicePing booth, including people who wanted to use and know more about the service, establish partnerships, make an investment and reporters from the media. When different group of visitors came to the booth at the same time, the VoicePing team used VoicePing's voice translation function to explain to the Koreans who cannot understand Japanese.
Not only giving explanations to the visitors, Japanese staff understood the questions from Koreans and gave proper replies. Some of the visitors, whose mother tongue was Russian and Serbian, tried speech translation using their naive languages and evaluated the speed and accuracy of the translation.

Summit participation using VoicePing's voice translation feature
VoicePing members used speech translation not only for booth support, but also for a formal summit where experts in various fields gave presentations. There were no big difficulties for Japanese staff to understand presentations in Korean using VoicePing.
Also, several other voice translation apps were tested at the same time and no other app was as accurate and fast as VoicePing with the "consecutive translation" function.

VoicePing for International Education - Visits from Foreign Buyers
Buyers from Singapore, Vietnam, Malaysia, and India visited the booth and had business discussions. They shared their views on the difficulties of managing and communicating with remote team members and the lack of unity within global teams due to language barriers, and spoke highly of VoicePing's solutions.
In particular, a buyer from Malaysia wanted to make use of VoicePing for international education, and VoicePing is being tested currently.
The Potential and Future of VoicePing in Global Environments
At this exhibition, VoicePing received a request for language support from a major company that is building a factory in Hungary, a person who conducts real estate seminars for countries around the world, and an international department of the University.
Also, VoicePing received a suggestion from an IT company to work together to provide solutions to public institutions such as Korean national universities, and international university departments, and business discussions to build partnerships are underway.
These voices and results imply that a metaverse space equipped with real-time speech recognition capabilities can create definite value in terms of communication and solidarity among members in a global environment where members do not share a common language.
The fact that we were the only Japanese company to successfully complete the exhibition using VoicePing in Korea, a country that is not an English-speaking country, was also a result of the value of the real-time voice translating system.
On the other hand, some issues in the UI and technical areas were revealed through this exhibition. It is required to resolve the issues that have become prominent and further evolve the product into one that allows our global team to work productively in the near future.
