John Barrar now serving as Senior Vice President of IT & Systems Integration and Nathan Beck is Sandpiper Hospitality's new Senior Vice President of Operations
RICHMOND, Va., Jan. 9, 2023 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- -- Sandpiper Hospitality – a Virginia-based hotel management company with vast expertise in the extended-stay segment – is thrilled to announce that it has expanded and strengthened its senior leadership team. John Barrar is now serving as Senior Vice President of IT & Systems Integration and Nathan Beck is now Sandpiper Hospitality's Senior Vice President of Operations.
Barrar joined Sandpiper Hospitality from InterVision Systems, where he served as the Vice President of Customer Experience. Barrar previously spent more than 17 years with Capital One, helping the company grow to become the 6th largest bank in the United States. He received a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Stephen F. Austin State University and serves on the Advisory Board for that department today. Barrar is charged with significantly enhancing the company's information technology platform while spear-heading several major projects that will greatly improve the services we offer to associates, guests and clients. He will head the integration of the industry's best business intelligence platform, ProfitSword, into the company this year.
With more than 12 years of experience in the hospitality management industry, Beck most recently served as Partner and Senior Vice President of Operations with one of the largest management companies in the extended stay hotel hospitality segment. Beck spent the first decade of his career in real estate and property management before joining the WoodSpring Suites brand, where he rose from District Manager to Senior Vice President of Operations and oversaw the launch or acquisition of 27 hotels. A graduate of Missouri Western State University, Beck will remain based in Colorado, allowing the company to further grow its portfolio across the country.
Sandpiper Hospitality is approved by Marriott International, IHG Hotels & Resorts, Choice Hotels International, Wyndham Hotels & Resorts and Extended Stay America to manage their select-service and extended stay brands and now manages over 10 different brands in its burgeoning portfolio.
