Gary Maag, CEO of Proactive Worldwide (PWW), announces his retirement from the company he co-founded in 1995 with PWW President, David Kalinowski.
SCHAUMBURG, Ill., Jan. 11, 2023 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Proactive Worldwide (PWW) announced today that Co-Founder and CEO Gary Maag has retired from the company. Maag's retirement comes as the company performs beyond expectations and is well-positioned for continued success. His departure completes a two-year leadership succession planning process during which PWW defined its multi-year vision for ensuring continued stellar client service in the pursuit of client successes.
"First and foremost I want to thank our wonderful clients, our industry partners and our team here," said Maag. "I'm grateful for 28 years of working with all of you and for the opportunity to lead Proactive Worldwide with my business partner, David [Kalinowski]. I'm ready to take a bit more time for myself. Maag retires with more than 30 years of experience in competitive intelligence, research and consulting. He directed Proactive Worldwide's global business development and marketing activities. With Co-Founder and President David Kalinowski, he guided Proactive Worldwide from a two-person operation into one of the world's leading decision-support, research, and consulting firms, with delivery teams in North America, Europe, and Asia Pacific.

During his distinguished career, Maag received the Strategic and Competitive Intelligence Professionals' (SCIP) Catalyst Award, which recognizes individuals who through their volunteer services have made important and valued contributions to the competitive intelligence profession. He also received the Northern Illinois University's Distinguished Marketing Alumnus Award.
