Six Edtech Products Earn Project Unicorn Interoperability Certification
Vendor Certifications Provide Transparency to Educators Regarding the Interoperability of Edtech Tools
BROOKLYN, N.Y., Jan. 19, 2023 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- InnovateEDU's Project Unicorn announces six education technology products that have earned the Project Unicorn Interoperability Certification. The certification signals that an edtech product prioritizes data interoperability, or the seamless, secure, and controlled exchange of usable data between applications. The certification helps school districts and educators recognize vendors with a commitment to better informing instruction and driving student-centered learning experiences by providing a clear market signal of the products support for edtech interoperability.
The following six edtech products have earned the Project Unicorn Interoperability Certification. The vendors who developed these products join a growing community of edtech vendors who have completed the certification process.
- Stadium, a product of Education Analytics
- Resonant Education
- Clever
- Edsby
- Unison, a product of Edsby
- Landing Zone, a product of Converge
"Data interoperability is integral to educators' abilities to make data driven decisions," noted Erin Mote, Executive Director of InnovateEDU. "The Project Unicorn Vendor Certification provides clarity to the market and to buyers about where an edtech product is in its data interoperability journey, helping school and district leaders select edtech products that meet their needs so that they can make the most of their edtech investments."
Project Unicorn interoperability certifications are featured on various product indexes, such as the Edsurge Product Index and LearnPlatform. These platforms allow customers access to a wealth of edtech product information.
"The Project Unicorn Vendor Certification helps school system leaders identify service providers that are committed to working within the larger edtech ecosystem, not just as a stand-alone tool," said Susan Bearden, Director of Digital Programs for InnovateEDU. "We applaud these vendors for their forward thinking approach to helping educators maximize the value of their edtech investments."
"We believe that interoperability is the next major step that the field of education needs to take towards data modernization. Education Analytics' Stadium product is designed to support education agencies in harnessing their interoperable data for analytics and research," stated Jordan Mader, Director of Analytics Engineering at Education Analytics. "Earning Project Unicorn's Vendor Certification signifies our commitment to student privacy, data security, and helping foster the broader interoperability community."
Edtech vendors earning the Project Unicorn certification show a distinct commitment to data interoperability, developing products that help educators make crucial decisions backed by data.
"Resonant Education is thrilled to support data interoperability of critical survey and assessment results with our clients' existing systems," said Eric Miller, VP of Product Management and Marketing at Resonant Education. "We believe that data should be easily accessible so that educators can analyze it and make appropriate interventions. Certification with Project Unicorn is the best way for us to be public about our commitment to supporting clients' data needs."
