LIFT: Meditations to Boost Back Health

Ken Hansraj, MD, the Spine Surgeon who brought international attention to the global health problem of “Text Neck,” introduces LIFT: Meditations to Boost Back Health, a new series of instructional meditations created to improve spine health, help lessen chronic neck and back pain, and provide an alternative to surgery and medication.

Countless people around the world are suffering with chronic neck and back pain and the treatment is costing the global economy an estimated billions of dollars each year. In addition, the current opioid crisis in the U.S. has many looking for an alternative to medication for relief of chronic pain. Research and clinical application support that meditation can significantly reduce pain. LIFT: Meditations to Boost Back Health were designed by a medical physician to help in pain management and to provide the tools to protect the spine and improve wellbeing.

“As a spinal surgeon, I have spent my life treating chronic pain. I have seen many people sometimes suffer needlessly because of improper posture, poor habits, and mind-set,” said Dr. Hansraj. “Chronic pain, especially back pain, can negatively impact a person’s quality of life, but there are alternatives to medication. I have seen first-hand the profound effects of meditation and it inspired me to create the LIFT meditation program to help the many people around the world afflicted with neck and back pain.”

LIFT: Meditations to Boost Back Health is a six-part program developed and led by Dr. Hansraj to help improve neck and spine health, shift focus, and provide an alternative therapy to surgery and medication.

Through each LIFT meditation, Dr. Hansraj takes listeners on a journey through various scenarios of directed thoughts and suggestions to lead the imagination toward a relaxed, focused state to help cleanse physical and emotional burdens. The LIFT guided meditations are designed to help listeners become better in tuned with their bodies and to better recognize everyday postural forces that can cause back and neck pain. Throughout the program, Dr. Hansraj teaches techniques to release tension and pain and help listeners improve wellbeing.
