The Plaza Group appointed Dr. Laura Murillo as a new board member; she will serve as Chair of the Nominating & Governance Committee.
HOUSTON, Feb. 13, 2023 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- The Plaza Group, a leading international petrochemical marketing firm has announced the appointment of a new independent board member.
The existing board of The Plaza Group appointed Dr. Laura Murillo as a new board member; she will serve as Chair of the Nominating & Governance Committee. The new member will join Eugene Allspach, Carmine Falcone, and Gene Kenyon on the board.

About Dr. Murillo
Dr. Laura Murillo was named President and CEO of the Houston Hispanic Chamber of Commerce in 2007. Under her leadership, the Chamber has set unprecedented records in membership and revenue, becoming one of the most influential Chambers in the nation. Just two years after taking the helm, Murillo, the Board of Directors, and dedicated staff won the National and Regional Hispanic Chamber of the Year Award from the U.S. Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. Dr. Laura Murillo holds a B.A., a Master's Degree, and a Doctorate from the University of Houston, where she served as an Executive for fifteen years and became the youngest Director in the University's history.
