Executives from Kroger, Elevance Health, Rackspace Technology, Signet Jewelers, Designer Brands, Genesis HealthCare System, & Dwellworks, LLC Recognized for their Achievements

OhioCIO announced the winners of its 2023 ORBIE® Awards. OhioCIO recognized chief information officers in seven key categories – Leadership, Super Global, Global, Large Enterprise, Enterprise, Large Corporate, & Corporate. The Awards were presented at the Ohio ORBIE Awards at the Renaissance Columbus Downtown Hotel.

“Member-led, non-commercial programs like the ORBIE Awards, build meaningful professional relationships with colleagues facing similar challenges, solving problems and avoiding pitfalls,” said Jim Fowler, OhioCIO Chair. “Successful leaders understand the ‘superpower’ of trusted relationships. The 2023 Ohio ORBIE Award winners are:

›› Chris Hjelm, EVP & CIO, Kroger (ret) received the Leadership ORBIE.

›› Anil Bhatt, Global CIO, Elevance Health received the Super Global ORBIE for organizations over $7 billion annual revenue & multi-national operations.

›› Srini Koushik, EVP & CTO, Rackspace Technology received the Global ORBIE for organizations over $1 billion annual revenue & multi-national operations.

›› Howard Melnick, EVP, CIO, Signet Jewelers received the Large Enterprise ORBIE for organizations over $5 billion annual revenue.

›› Ervan Rodgers II, SVP, CIO, Designer Brands received the Enterprise ORBIE for organizations over $1.6 billion annual revenue.

›› Ed Romito, Chief Transformation Officer, Genesis HealthCare System received the Large Corporate ORBIE for organizations over $500 million annual revenue.

›› Jim Smith, CIO, Dwellworks, LLC received the Corporate ORBIE for organizations up to $500 million annual revenue.

The ORBIE Awards is the premier technology executive recognition program in the United States. Since inception in 1998, over 500 technology leaders have received the prestigious ORBIE Award. The ORBIE honors chief information officers who have demonstrated excellence in technology leadership. Finalists and winners are selected by an independent peer review process, led by prior ORBIE recipients, based upon:
