Physical therapy provider ACCESS PT today announced that The Physical Therapy Experience of Long Island, New York, is the latest to join forces with the more than 50 ACCESS PT physical therapy centers across the Mid-Atlantic and New England regions.

The Physical Therapy Experience provides top-quality physical therapy services from facilities in two Long Island communities: Smithtown and Oceanside. The Physical Therapy Experience was welcomed to the ACCESS PT team in December; effective May 1, the two The Physical Therapy Experience locations will go by the names ACCESS PT Smithtown and ACCESS PT Oceanside.
"Some things haven't and won't change as a result of our joining together with Access PT—for example, patients can still as always see their favorite physical therapists and support specialists; no change of location, either," said former The Physical Therapy Experience co-owner and now director of the Smithtown facility Michael Martin, MSPT.
What has changed, according to Adi Zion, PT, former co-owner of The Physical Therapy Experience and now director of the Oceanside branch, is administrative responsibilities. "Most of the tasks related to day-to-day, behind-the-scenes operations of the clinics are now being handled by ACCESS PT's dedicated administrative team, which is allowing our therapists to focus entirely on providing care so that more patients can be helped to achieve exceptional outcomes," he said.
ACCESS PT is widely known for its successful efforts to eliminate barriers to care. Among other innovations, the company offers evening appointments and directly accepts some patients without a referral from a primary care physician. As well, all ACCESS PT centers employ innovative treatment protocols and modalities, advanced support technologies, and highly skilled staff.
