DENVER, April 11, 2023 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Firefly Autism is proud to announce its 12th annual fundraising gala, Laugh Yourself Blue, will be taking place during National Autism Acceptance Month on Thursday, April 13, 2023 from 6:30 - 9:30 pm. The gala harnesses laughter's equalizing power to raise critical awareness and funds for autism research and support.
In honor of Firefly Autism's 20th anniversary, the organization is paving a new path. This year marks transformational changes with our new leadership, mission, direction, and event venue. For the first time ever, Firefly Autism's annual fundraising gala will be held at the Denver Art Museum because just like art, every individual on the spectrum is unique and admirable.
The evening promises to be an enriching and hilarious one as headlining comedian JR De Guzman takes the stage. The night will kick off with a beautiful social networking hour, followed by a seated dinner whereby guests will learn more about the tremendous impact of Firefly Autism's work.
"It has been such an amazing year for Firefly; we launched a thriving diagnostic department along with a hugely needed transition-to-work program, in addition to the crucial support and care we are known for," states Dr. Amanda Kelly, CEO of Firefly Autism. "We can't wait to share about the impacts of all our programs, and the future innovation to come, with our guests. The beauty of the Denver Art Museum is the perfect setting – we are so excited for everyone to join us!"
This year's gala is one not to miss. Firefly Autism will be joined by event chairs Travis Plakke and Leigh Sullivan, Linda and Don Childears, and John and Shayna Griffith, making the 12th annual gala extra special.
The official Title Sponsor for Laugh Yourself Blue is Lifetime Windows & Siding, a local business supporting Firefly Autism's mission by providing them with a host of needed repairs and upgrades for their facility, as well as additional funds contributing to the annual cost of the School-Age Program and supplemental services needed to maximize success.
All donations and proceeds from ticket sales directly benefit Firefly Autism's mission of providing life-changing services to individuals on the autism spectrum and their families in Colorado.
