Secure64 Software Corporation, creators of purpose-built security and DNS solutions, announced the launch of the next generation of Secure64 Signer™
Secure64 DNS Signer brings unparalleled levels of performance and security to DNSSEC with FIPS 140-2 Level 2 & 3 compliance.
FORT COLLINS, Colo., June 21, 2023 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Secure64 Software Corporation, creators of purpose-built security and DNS solutions, announced the launch of the next generation of Secure64 Signer™.
DNSSEC is a critical component of modern DNS deployments but presents unique operational and security challenges. Traditional DNSSEC solutions require significant manual work, injecting single points of hardware and security failure into the solution. It is, therefore, essential to create solutions to deliver operational simplicity and speed up DNSSEC for customers.
This newest addition to the Secure64 security ecosystem follows in the tradition of Secure64's original DNSSEC Signer released in 2008, which was the first to offer fully automated DNSSEC signing and the only FIPS 140-2 certified solution that does not use dedicated cryptographic hardware. The original Secure64 DNSSEC signer platform was released as a direct response to the Kaminsky vulnerability and was partially funded by the Department of Homeland Security to counter this threat. This platform is still available and still in use with no breaches in security.
Based on the robust and richly featured Knot DNS from CZ.INC, Secure64 Signer brings Secure64's Simple, Scalable, and Secure philosophy to the Linux DNSSEC world. The solution provides FIPS 140-2 certified cryptographic operations, both Level 2 and Level 3, when using the network Hardware Security Modules (HSM).
Secure64 Signer™ integrates with the rest of the Secure64 security ecosystem and third-party DNS servers to allow flexibility in deployment. Despite the benefits of a complete Secure64 ecosystem, Secure64 Signer™ with the network HSM still provides resiliency, and performance increases unparalleled when it is linked to traditional DNS platforms.
"Our customers have told us that the increase in the threat landscape requires a hardened security solution with High Availability as a core component," says Ian Sampson, Chief Marketing Officer of Secure64. "It's vital that DNS engineers can secure the DNS whilst ensuring uptime and performance for DNSSEC."
This platform is part of the Secure64 ecosystem and augments the existing capabilities in Secure64 solutions to provide a stable and security-focused customer-centric experience.
