The fashion show is the kick-off for Terry Costa's annual Model Competition, an exciting opportunity for any young woman who is hoping to launch her modeling career. In addition to a $1,000 scholarship, the winner will serve as the "face" of Terry Costa, an opportunity former winners have leveraged into full blown careers with pageant circuits, coveted top Prom designer Sherri Hill modeling bookings, and even market modeling appearances.
"It's one of my favorite times of the year because it's so exciting to see fresh young faces, ready to have their moment," says Sergio Armas, Creative Director and Executive Buyer at Terry Costa. "I have been in their shoes and I know that this chance to shine can absolutely open doors for them." Armas was one of Terry Costa's Catwalk Competition winners, an accolade that caught the attention of Terry Costa's executives and eventually landed him a coveted Buyer's position in one of the nation's hotspots of fashion. "Every year I love the chance to 'pay it forward' and help these girls shine. This year's theme is 'A Star is Born' and I really think it's super-appropriate!"
Judging will take place on the runway by three prominent members of the fashion and social media scenes, along with input from Terry Costa team members and, perhaps most exciting, the public. Fashion Show attendees will be able to vote in person at the event and voting will also open up on Terry Costa's Facebook account at @TerryCostaDallas until February 2nd at 5pm. The winner will be announced on Terry Costa's Facebook that evening at 9pm.
