GreenCircle Certified, LLC is an internationally recognized third-party certification entity. It was established to ensure specificity in third-party certification after many misleading or unsubstantiated sustainability claims were encountered in the green marketplace. GreenCircle’s rigorous evaluation process provides trusted transparency that a manufacturer’s product claims are authentic. In today’s discerning market, third-party certification is a valuable asset in establishing brand integrity and developing consumer confidence.
“Third-party certification demonstrates that a product or operation is in compliance with its sustainability claim,” said Clyde Roberson, Medeco Director of Product Management. “Medeco now has 21 multi-attribute certifications from GreenCircle. That tells our customers that we are absolutely committed to attaining the highest level of transparency, which many customers need to achieve LEED v4 building certifications.”
Each product certified by GreenCircle receives a Certified Environmental Facts (CEF) label that is similar to a nutrition label. The CEF details all the necessary environmental information in a straightforward, easy-to-read manner. The label also highlights product attributes as well as sustainable advances in manufacturing.
“Medeco continues to work on its environmental impact through its use of recycled content and local sourcing of raw materials. The CEF label also makes it easy for specifiers to compare and evaluate products,” adds David Matherly, Product Manager. This is just another step forward in Medeco’s strategy to provide customers with smart, sustainable building solutions.
