220 Marketing Helps Local Children by Collecting Toys for the Marine Toys for Tots Campaign

This holiday season, 220 Marketing will be proudly participating in the Marine Toys for Tots Program sponsored by the U.S. Marine Corps Reserves. The Marine Toys for Tots Program collects new unwrapped toys to distribute to less fortunate children at Christmas. The goal is of the program is to bring the joy of Christmas and send a message of hope to America’s less fortunate children through the gift of a new toy.

Nearly 40,000 Marines, Marine Corps League Members, Veterans, and volunteers participate in the Toys for Tots program annually. Spearheading this year’s collection efforts is 220 Marketing’s own Ian Lenahan, former Marine, and Purple Heart recipient. "The Toys for Tots Program is very near and dear to my heart. Having been deployed twice to Iraq I saw firsthand children who had nothing. No food, no clean water, no proper housing, no schooling, no shoes, no toys; nothing to give them hope. Could you imagine American children in the same position? Since I left active duty in 2006, I have always tried to make it a point to participate in Toys for Tots because maybe just even my small donation could provide hope for a child somewhere," said Ian.

"It has been wonderful working for a company that supports Veterans like me and is also involved regularly in the community outside our office. The 220 Marketing Group steps up in ways to support programs like Toys for Tots all the time. It is this sort of commitment to improving our community that makes me proud to be a part of this company," Ian remarked.

220 Marketing will be collecting toys from November 9th through December 4th in support of the local San Diego Toys for Tots campaign.
