FALLS CHURCH, Va., July 22, 2020 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- The American Psychiatric Nurses Association (APNA) is pleased to announce the 32 nursing students selected to receive this year's student scholarships. Scholarship recipients receive registration to attend the virtual APNA 34th Annual Conference, September 30 - October 4, 2020, as well as a one-year complimentary APNA membership to enjoy its professional benefits.
Each year, undergraduate and graduate-level nursing students across the nation are invited to apply for the scholarship. The APNA Student Scholarship program connects aspiring nurses to experienced professionals in the field, exposes them to a spectrum of career options, and sets them on a path to becoming leaders who are dedicated to psychiatric-mental health nursing.

"Both the Board of Directors Scholarship and the Industry Sponsored Scholarship encourage their desire to dedicate their talents to improving mental health for those they serve. Funded by the APNA Board of Directors, the 2020 APNA Board of Directors Student Scholarship is being awarded to 30 undergraduate and graduate nursing students. New this year and as a part of the APNA Industry Partnership Program, two students are receiving the APNA Industry Sponsored Scholarship. APNA would like to express thanks to the industry partners, AbbVie and Neurocrine Biosciences, for their sponsorship of these two scholarships.
