This is the third year SATELLITE 2019 will be hosting Startup Space, a competition where entrepreneurs pitch their business and technology ideas to a panel of highly accomplished space professionals, investors, thought leaders, and fellow entrepreneurs. Out of hundreds of applicants, only twenty will be chosen to give a five-minute pitch for their company or product in front of a panel of judges, each followed by a Q&A between the judges and the contestants.

Startup Space 2018 winner, Daniel Ceperley, Founder and CEO of LeoLabs, announced in July they had closed a $13 million Series A financing round led by global investors WERU Investment and Airbus Ventures, with participation from Space Angels and Horizon Ventures also.
