Fully online public school celebrates graduating class at in-person commencement ceremony
SUMMERVILLE, S.C., June 13, 2023 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Lowcountry Connections Academy, a tuition-free online public school serving students in grades K-12 across the state, recently celebrated the school's Class of 2023 graduating high school seniors. The Class of 2023 held their in-person graduation ceremony at the Columbia Convention Center among school administrators, teachers and family members who cheered them on.
Lowcountry Connections Academy's Class of 2023 consists of 49 graduates from cities and towns across South Carolina, including Conway, Gaffney, Summerville and more. Among the graduating class, 38% plan to attend two- or four-year colleges or universities, 32% plan to enter the workforce, 21% plan to receive vocational training, 6% plan to take a gap year and 1% plan to serve in the military. College acceptances include Embry–Riddle Aeronautical University, South Carolina State University, University of Alabama, and Western Michigan University.
