SAN FRANCISCO, July 3, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- The Fisherman's Wharf Community Benefit District invites all local residents and San Francisco visitors to the city's largest outdoor party for Independence Day, 2019. Attendees can sample fresh seafood from the many crab stands or visit the unique attractions at the Wharf. The entertainment continues throughout the afternoon and into the evening with special live concerts at Aquatic Park and PIER 39. Of course, the highlight of the day will be the City of San Francisco Fireworks display, best viewed along the waterfront from Aquatic Park and PIER 39.

11 Tips for a Fab #4thAtTheWharf
1. Fireworks will be shot off from barges at Aquatic Park and PIER 39. You can watch from all along the waterfront, including the promenade next to the Franciscan Crab Restaurant. If you drive, try the Triangle Lot on Jefferson and Powell streets. It's a popular spot for parking hatchbacks and trucks for tailgating. Drivers and passengers can watch from there. Lawn chairs and coolers are allowed.
2. People stake out spots starting early. Go early and enjoy the live bands, DJs, and street entertainment.
3. Picnics are okay at Aquatic Park, but alcohol and cannabis are prohibited.
4. If you take the F or E line, remember: When the crowds get too thick, it will turn around at PIER 39 and not go all the way into the Wharf. SFMTA will put up signs warning of no service at the stops on Jones Street and by Longshoreman's Hall but they often get obscured by people standing in front of them.
5. If you do drive, it is suggested to arrive to the Wharf and park before 10 a.m. Parking typically costs about $30 for the day. There are 6,000 off-street garage parking spaces in the area. You can reserve parking in advance on the Spot Hero app.
6. Park smart! No matter where you park, even in a garage, never leave valuables in your car.
7. Enjoy the neighborhood in the afternoon with the Bars & Attractions Treasure Hunt at the Wharf. Your group of friends or family can choose from 24 different bars and attractions to visit. 9. Getting to the Wharf is not difficult because people arrive at staggered times. Leaving is another story. Everyone wants to drive out of the neighborhood immediately after the fireworks end. It is recommended to stick around and go to a bar such as Gold Dust Lounge or Buena Vista. You will need to be patient.
10. Don't drink and drive and be cautious of other drivers on the road who could be intoxicated.
