SILVER SPRING, Md., June 6, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Fit Fathers has announced the 6th Annual "Fit Fathers Day" Celebration, which will take place at Veterans Plaza at 8525 Fenton Street, Silver Spring, MD on Sunday, June 16, 2019 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. The free event geared towards family members of all ages and fitness levels encourages positive health and wellness habits through group exercises, energetic music, fitness games and informational health demonstrations.
Fit Fathers Day draws over 600 attendees annually while taking over Downtown Silver Spring with a sheltered workout platform for group demonstrations, fitness focused vendors, contests, entertainment and other activities. A portion of Fenton Street will be shut down for the kids' fun zone with moon bounces and the Auto Fit car show featuring active lifestyle vehicles from VW, Mazda, Kia, Nissan and the Washington Auto Show.
The Fit Fathers Foundation is asking for the following commitment:
- On June 16 enjoy at least one hour of energetic activities with your family and friends such as a 5K run, bike ride, hiking, ball games or a simple walk through the park with nature. Or join us at Fit Fathers Day.

The Fit Fathers Day group exercise and health celebration will include trainers Michelangelo Bance, Tiffani Jenkins and Conscious Crusade. Enjoy dynamic boxing routines from Hard Training Club, Zumba with Marco Castro, healthy snacks, fitness games, an interactive playground and tunes from DJ Blinks. Win over $2,500 in prizes from Sean John, JBL Audio, Turtle Wax, Vibram, Live Nation, Bose and Striders by competing in the Mr. Fit Father push-up contest and female plank challenge.
The event begins with Groove & Flow yoga at 10 am. It will include a cutting-edge basketball demo from Pat the Roc and a show-stopping jump rope performance by the Greenbelt SITY Stars.
