6th Annual Kurogo Mobile Conference Celebrates Higher Ed’s Digital Transformation
CHICAGO (PRWEB) June 11, 2018 -- The Kurogo Conference, the premier conference for mobile technology in higher ed, will be hosted by Roosevelt University and Modo Labs, the leading mobile application platform in higher ed, in downtown Chicago June 11-13. The conference will highlight mobile innovation at college campuses across the world, featuring speakers from Salesforce, Amazon Web Services (AWS), University of California, Berkeley, University of Central Florida, and Portland State University, among many others.
Now in its 6th year, the conference is an opportunity for higher ed professionals and technology experts to share perspectives on how they are reaching diverse student bodies with mobile. The 3-day agenda opens with a keynote by Phil Komarny, VP of Innovation at Salesforce, and Phil Long, Senior Scholar at Georgetown University and Founder of RHz Consulting, on the future of higher ed technology, including blockchain, AI and blended environments. Over the course of the conference, attendees will learn about accessibility as a technological priority, delivering resources to at-risk students, and tools that increase degree progression and completion rates.
With attendees from over 100 institutions and 25+ sessions, the Kurogo Conference is the largest mobile higher education conference of the year. Stewart Elliot, CEO of Modo Labs, said: “The Kurogo Conference brings together the people who are leading digital innovation to support student success and advancement. Higher ed institutions partner with Modo Labs, the host of Kurogo, because they know we are experts in digital and mobile engagement, and recognize the value of a platform that meets the high expectations of the next generation student. This year, we’re pleased to partner with Roosevelt University to showcase how mobile innovation can transform the student experience and bring together communities across campus to facilitate student success.”
Neeraj Kumar, Chief Information Officer at Roosevelt University, said: “We’re excited to host the 6th annual Kurogo Conference, reflecting Roosevelt University’s leadership in modernizing higher education. The majority of Roosevelt University is enclosed in a modern 33 story skyscraper. As the only vertical campus in the U.S., Roosevelt is proud to offer students cutting-edge technologies that advance and support their success across the entire college journey. The digital transformation of our student resources reflects the transformation of our physical campus and of downtown Chicago.”
Roosevelt University and many other institutions in attendance have deployed Modo’s platform to create mobile campus apps that provide a centralized hub of information for students, communicating need-to-know details on course enrollment, tuition and more. Throughout the conference, institutions like Indiana State University and Harvard University will demonstrate how they support student success as a community and showcase how mobile’s unparalleled ability to personalize communications has enabled them to reach and engage with students where traditional communication methods are failing.
The conference is sponsored by Mist Systems, Amazon Web Services, GreyHeller, and Density, and will feature an interactive scavenger hunt in partnership with Badgr by Concentric Sky.
