8 DAYS Hits Studio Movie Grill Theaters for One Week Only
Atlanta, Ga. (PRWEB) January 30, 2015 -- After Eden Pictures and 8 DAYS continue their fight to help end modern-day slavery this Friday as the film goes to select Studio Movie Grill theaters across the country. The cast and crew, filled with AMTC grads and staff, continue “making good bolder” in the face of the media.
“8 DAYS has already touched thousands of lives, and I look forward to the impact it will continue to have across the globe,” says lead actress and AMTC grad Nicole Smolen. “Help us take the necessary steps to eradicate human trafficking by watching 8 DAYS film at a theatre near you.”
8 DAYS is a feature film inspired by actual events that happens to the fictional character of Amber Stevens (Smolen). “After sneaking to a party with her friends, sixteen year old Amber goes missing. Forced into the world of sex trafficking, her family and community fight to get her back.So much can happen in 8 DAYS.”
The 8 DAYS movement was first introduced in Sept. 2014. Nationwide premieres and awareness campaigns helped to catapult the influential movement. Funds from each US city premiere went directly towards local sex trafficking organizations. These organizations used the funds to help with rescuing and rehabilitating victims as well as building and expanding safe homes.
“It is our goal that by dispersing funds to many organizations we can truly share together in the blessing of support and the burden of the fight,” explains 8 DAYS Director and AMTC Coach Jaco Booyens. “The problem will not end overnight, but we don’t intend to allow the fight to end either.”
