The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) Security Compliance assessment shows adherence to federal law that requires organizations to protect sensitive patient health information from being disclosed without the patient's consent or knowledge. The HIPAA audit examines the effectiveness of how Protected Health Information is stored and protected.
Developed by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the SOC 2® Type 1 examination provides reasonable assurance about the suitability of the design of the company's controls placed into operation against the relevant Trust Services Criteria at a point in time.
