American Blossom Linens Launches Organic Cotton Made in USA Blanket
American Blossom Linens, direct to consumer brand from 122 year old Thomaston Mills, launches organic cotton blanket grown to sewn in the USA. Available in King, Queen and a Throw in American Harvest and Patriot Blue.
THOMASTON, Ga., Feb. 19, 2021 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- For the past 20 years, Thomaston Mills, a family owned bedding manufacturer focused on the healthcare and hospitality market. Hilton, Marriott, Radisson and Intercontinental hotels have all used their sheets. Thomaston Mills has been making sheets for over 122 years in the town of Thomaston, Georgia. While nearly all textile manufacturing and production moved overseas, decimating factories and jobs, Thomaston Mills stood resolute and kept manufacturing here in the USA.

They brought back a brand, originally called Blossom, that was created by Thomaston in the 1940's with the goal of capturing the old-fashioned goodness of their origins. Due to supply chain issues during the pandemic, Made in USA products have been increasing in popularity which has resulted in a 400% increase in sales for American Blossom Linens. Many of them tell us, they are searching out American Made products exclusively now."
Unlike textiles sourced from overseas, which travel on average 8,000 miles from the factory to your door, American Blossom Linens bedding is made only in the USA using 100% traceable organic cotton grown by family farmers. Their bedding is grown, processed, finished and sewn in the USA, drastically reducing its carbon footprint while supporting American workers all along the way.
In June the company surveyed their customers to ask what additional products they would like to see added to the American Blossom Linens line. Overwhelmingly their fans have asked for blankets. After searching all over they chose to partner with a family owned mill in Monmouth Maine that has been making blankets since 1850. The mill is weaving their new Herringbone Blankets which are beautifully crafted with organic American cotton farmed without harmful pesticides, GMOs, or chemical defoliants. They are breathable but insulating, not too warm for hot summer nights but cozy enough when the weather turns cool. The perfect weight, super soft Herringbone Blanket makes a cozy layer for the sofa or the bed, no matter the season.
The Queen (90 x 96"), King (108 x 96") and Throw (50 x 70") sizes are available in two colors, American Harvest, a neutral beige shade and Patriot Blue, a rich blue shade. They are machine washable and dryable.
Color American Harvest is made from a combination of natural West Texas organic cotton yarn and Foxfibre® Coyote Brown heirloom cotton yarn. Foxfibre® is organically grown in a rich color which is integral to the fiber itself. Not a drop of artificial dyes is needed to make these blankets beautiful. This wonderful cotton called Foxfibre® was created by Sally Fox, a "cotton pioneer" for her efforts regarding organic, colored cotton. In the 1980's she was the first one to develop the systems to grow and promote organic cotton in the USA, which started the conversation about organic textiles.
Color Patriot Blue, made from West Texas organic cotton, is a combination of natural yarn and blue yarn. This beautiful rich blue yarn is created by a century-old mill in North Carolina using low impact dyes.

Available colors are Natural, White and Latte Linen (made from a blend of West Texas organic cotton and Foxfibre® naturally grown colored cotton) The linens are generously sized with extra deep pockets to provide an excellent fit on almost any height mattress.
