Aprio Names Matt Wise Assurance Practice Group Director
Wise to bring Aprio's audit experience into the future through innovation
ATLANTA, Jan. 16, 2020 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Aprio, LLP, a nationally-recognized top 100 CPA-led business advisory firm announced today that Matt Wise has been named the firm's new Assurance Practice Group Director, effective Jan. 1, 2020.
Wise will succeed Frank Gudger, who has served as Aprio's Assurance Practice Group Director since 2003. Wise joined Aprio in 2007 and was named partner in 2013. During that time, Wise has advised clients in real estate and construction, manufacturing & distribution, transaction processing and professional services industries in accounting, reporting, compliance and internal control matters.
In his new role, Wise will be responsible for tapping into new forms of assurance services and technology to drive growth and innovation in audits. "By harnessing the power of advanced analytics and automation, we will drive greater efficiencies into the firm's audit process to enable Aprio team members to more strategically advise clients," said Wise.

Over the past year, Gudger has also served as Office Managing Partner for Aprio's Birmingham office and will continue in that role.
