CivicPlus Adds CivicCMS Solution to its Product Suite
MANHATTAN, Kan. (PRWEB) July 10, 2018 -- CivicPlus®, the nation’s leader in integrated technology for local government, has announced it has acquired Virtual Towns & Schools and its Drupal®-based content management system (CMS). The addition will allow CivicPlus to offer a CivicCMS™ product solution that will expand its product portfolio and strengthen its ability to provide a right-sized CMS for villages, townships, local governments, and special districts.
“CivicPlus is committed to offering integrated solutions to address the technology needs of local governments of all sizes,” said Brian Rempe, CivicPlus Chief Executive Officer. “Over the past 20 years working with local governments, we have learned that the technology needs of smaller municipalities vary greatly from large cities and counties both from an end user and an administrative perspective. By adding a dedicated solution that allows us to service a wider spectrum of municipalities, we will be better able to offer scalable solutions to all local governments. It will also allow us to continue evolving our CivicEngage® CMS to fit the needs of larger cities and counties.”
Per Millard Rose, President of Virtual Towns & Schools, the partnership with CivicPlus will allow for an expanded national offering for its CMS solution. Previously, Virtual Towns & Schools has been focused on serving communities in the Northeastern United States and has grown to support 600+ clients through seven consecutive years of record growth.
“The strength of our company is rooted in our easy-to-use, robust CMS, and the ongoing support we provide our clients,” said Rose. “By combining with CivicPlus, we will be able to expand into new markets that can benefit from our solution, and our existing clients will benefit from access to CivicPlus’ industry-leading, comprehensive portfolio of solutions for local governments. Our partnership is a win-win for everyone.”
