How to Take a Brave Leap – Jessica Manca Guides Readers Through Life-Changing Decisions
Vancouver, BC (PRWEB) March 13, 2014 -- Professional coach and author Jessica Manca knows firsthand how hard it can be to take a life-changing leap, and she recently shared her story about making a major life change on Brave Leaps. In her interview, Manca shares the story of her journey from a well-paying consulting career to finding her passion. This journey is the basis for Manca’s self-discovery workbook, “Finding Passion.” Inspired by this interview, Manca has released her tips to help professionals take their own life-changing leaps.
1. Dare to daydream.
Define your goals no matter how large. Lingering thoughts are a sign that you’re considering a change. Write down what you daydream about the most. What’s the vision for yourself that you’ve been considering?
2. Understand what’s important to you.
Identify activities that you’re doing for your happiness, your well-being vs. those you’re doing for other people. What do you value? What’s your passion?
3. Say yes to your greater purpose.
Often, people feel guilty about saying yes to what they want. They may feel like they’re abandoning a good job, a lifestyle, or the expected career path. When the consequence of staying put is too much to bear, isn’t it about time to say “Yes” to you?
“What’s so amazing about taking the first leap is that it has lead to so many more - like starting my business, publishing my book, public speaking about my story and bigger things,” Manca states.
“Life is full of as many chapters as we want to create. What makes any leap a brave one is having the limiting thought that your dreams aren’t possible. Get beyond that thinking, and you’ll stop being at war with yourself.”
Manca encourages anyone who’s ready for change to get creative with daily acts of courage. Daily acts of courage are five-minute activities that can bring a person’s goals forward each day. Some days may include reflective thinking while others may be finding a mentor that can help them live their dreams. These tips help give reassurance that one step at a time, a person is now moving in a better direction.
