Consilium Staffing Supports Children’s Medical Center’s Red Balloon Run & Ride
Irving, Texas (PRWEB) May 07, 2014 -- Employees of Irving, Texas based Consilium Staffing, Your Partner in Locum Tenens, recently participated in Children’s Medical Center’s annual Red Balloon Run and Ride, raising more than $1,100 for one of the nation’s leading pediatric facilities.
The event is a fundraising program produced by Passion for Children’s for the exclusive benefit of Children’s Medical Center, and included various run and bike distance options for participants at their Legacy Campus in Plano, Texas. With the help of 3,158 donations, Children’s raised more than $570,000 for the center, and more than 4,900 people participated in this year’s event.
“We are very proud to take part in such a fantastic event and give back to a pediatric facility that has done so much for children in our community,” says Matt Baade, Executive Vice President of Consilium Staffing.
This was the second time for Consilium to participate in the Red Balloon Run & Ride, and is the latest event for the Consilium Cares program, the philanthropic arm of Consilium Staffing. Consilium Cares has supported many events and organizations, including The North Texas Food Bank, Mission Arlington, and Children’s Medical Center, among others.
“We believe we are here to serve. We are here to serve our providers and healthcare facility clients, but we are also here to serve our community,” said Baade. “Consilium Cares is an important part of who we are.”
Passion for Children's, a 501c(3) non-profit organization, was founded in 2007 with the sole purpose of creating, implementing, and supporting grassroots fundraising programs to exclusively benefit Children's Medical Center of Dallas.
Children's Medical Center is private, not-for-profit, and is the fifth-largest pediatric healthcare provider in the nation. Children’s is the only academic health care facility in North Texas dedicated exclusively to the comprehensive care of children from birth to age 18, and is the only pediatric level one trauma center in the Southwest.
