Through the new partnership, Constellation Payments clients can now apply to register and operate as a payment facilitator utilizing Constellation Payments’ proprietary payment gateway and Vantiv’s complete payment facilitator solution.
The payment facilitation model continues to gain popularity as it greatly simplifies the merchant account enrollment process. Instead of requiring merchants to have their own merchant account, once approved, merchants are boarded and funded under the payment facilitator’s master merchant account.
This model radically improves efficiency for both the approved payment facilitator and its sub-merchants – often times transforming an extensive underwriting process of a few weeks to a few hours.
