HMP Communications Holdings Launches Managed Care Portal
Malvern, PA (PRWEB) June 06, 2016 -- HMP Communications Holdings LLC, a leading provider of health care content and continuing medical education events, announced today the launch of a new digital portal from the Managed Markets division of its subsidiary, HMP Communications.
Managed Health Care Connect is a digital destination delivering comprehensive news and insight on managed health care. The site serves as the new home to three of the company’s premier managed markets brands: Annals of Long-Term Care: Clinical Care and Aging, Pharmacy Learning Network, and First Report Managed Care, and provides a single platform for access to the latest information on medical, business, policy, and regulatory updates.
“We are seeing digital technology better connect the health care spectrum, allowing for more effective integration of care, so we wanted to ensure the content we share is delivered with the same approach,” said Chris Ciraulo, VP and Group Publisher, Managed Markets. “Access to insight and the convenience of that access are key differentiators for our customers, and we believe the new site gives our readers the perspective they need in a changing environment.”
Readers can expect the same news, original research, in-depth reports, and expert commentary from each of the three brands, but the new portal delivers an enhanced experience, bringing together news and views from other integral parts of the care delivery continuum: pharmacy, long-term care and managed care. The portal also hosts several specialty resource centers, organized by therapeutic area and care delivery channel, that feature news, review articles, patient education resources, videos, and commentary.
“Customer feedback was integral to the development of the portal. The enhancements we have made will help our audience gain a big picture view of managed care developments taking place in the United States,” said Lisa Tomaszewski, Senior Director of Medical Communications.
The portal complements the company’s growing focus on an integrated approach to news and education delivery for professionals throughout the healthcare spectrum. In January of 2015, the company launched the Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH) Congress in conjunction with the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) that seeks to transform primary care delivery and bring together other members of the medical neighborhood — from specialty practices to hospitals and long-term care facilities — for a more connected approach to patient care. In August of 2015, HMP introduced Journal of Clinical Pathways, a peer-reviewed publication that explores new approaches to value-based health care.
