Herozona Announces Arizona Delegation National Update Brunch Schedule
Arizona Young Professionals and Community Stakeholders Will Learn About Business, Real Estate, Police Relations and More
PHOENIX, Sept. 27, 2022 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- The Herozona Foundation, which recently announced the return of its 17th annual, invitation-only Arizona Delegation National Update Brunch during the 51st Congressional Black Caucus from Sept. 28 through Oct. 2, will bring new guests and performers to the momentous event. Taking place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Georgia Brown's in Washington D.C. on Saturday, Oct. 1, expert speakers will cover important topics related to Arizona, including the diversification of the state, economic impact, business development, the housing market and more.
The event's official schedule is as follows:
- Invocation by Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church First Lady Lynn Mackey
- Performance of the National Anthem and "Lift Every Voice & Sing" by the world's strongest violinist Evan Pittman
- Pledge of Allegiance by actor and recording artist Bentley Green

- Break for brunch
- Update on the state of Arizona by Arizona Commission of African American Affairs Executive Director Cloves C. Campbell Jr.
- Update on state of Arizona's housing market by National Association of Real Estate Brokers President Lydia M. Pope
- Update on state of Arizona police-community relations by National Organization of Black Law Enforcement Executives President Brenda Goss Andrews

This year, the Herozona Foundation will also sponsor the attendance of ten local university students from the Greater Phoenix Urban League Young Professionals' YP CoNEXT program. In addition to receiving an invitation to the brunch and attending sessions at the Congressional Black Caucus, the students will also get tours of the Capitol, the Pentagon and the National Museum of African American History and Culture.
