CARF Accreditation Awarded to Jay Nolan Community Services
Mission Hills, CA (PRWEB) March 17, 2015 -- Jay Nolan Community Services received a three year accreditation for their Employment Programs from the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities __title__ CARF (CARF). This certification allows Jay Nolan Community Services (JNCS) to continue providing and improving their supported employment services through the California Department of Rehabilitation. The CARF International group of companies currently accredits more than 50,000 programs and services at 23,000 locations. More than 8 million individuals of all ages are served annually by 6,800 CARF-accredited service providers
CARF international is an independent, external review that identifies strengths and areas of improvement based on objective program expectations and guidelines. The successful accreditation of Jay Nolan Community Services assures that the employment services department has met internationally developed standards in quality service provision.
In order to maintain this accreditation, Jay Nolan Community Services has made a commitment to follow and be held accountable for their customized Strategic Planning process that helps to enable individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder and other Development Disabilities to live fulfilling lives as members of the community by providing support services customized to fit their individual needs. To maintain this accreditation, JNCS has developed a five-year Strategic Plan approved by CARF accreditors as well as the Board of Directors.
The Strategic Plan set forth by Jay Nolan Community Service has four initiatives. First, JNCS will strengthen the organizational infrastructure by operating more efficiently and cost effectively to create a stronger fund raising capacity by utilizing technology. Next, JNCS pledges to improve the organizational culture of the agency by renewing commitment to a shared vision, strong partnerships with each other, responsive accountability, and support for staff. Third, Jay Nolan Community Service agrees to actively sustain the mission, vision, and values through more consistent and cohesive methods of planning through services like PATH and circles of support. Finally, Jay Nolan Community Services promises to expand services by developing new service options and additional revenue sources in a self-directed service delivery system.
