State Farm’s Kacky Kortenber Helping to Wear Out Poverty
Memphis, TN (PRWEB) May 05, 2015 -- Local State Farm agent, Kacky Kortenber, is hosting a flip-flop drive from May 15 to July 15, to help change lives with Soles4Souls, a global non-profit institution dedicated to fighting the devastating impact and perpetuation of poverty, through the distribution of shoes and clothing. Kacky’s State Farm Insurance office, located at 7900 Winchester Road, suite 101, in Memphis, is an official drop-off location for Soles4Souls.
“I am honored to, once again, lend a hand to Soles4Souls as this is truly an inspiring organization that is changing the lives of numerous poverty-stricken people around the world,” said Kacky. “I am encouraging the community to come to our drop-off location and not only donate flip-flops but any kind of footwear or clothing, new or used, which will be distributed to people in need in the United States and abroad.”
In addition to the flip-flop drive, Kacky is also encouraging people nationwide to join Soles4Souls on May 5th to help raise $24,000 in 24 hours with “The Big Payback.” The 24-hour online event will help Soles4Souls raise much-needed funds and bring awareness to pressing needs in our communities. Donations made during The Big Payback will be increased by incentives and awards for participating non-profits. “Let’s help Soles4Souls raise $24,000, which means 24,000 pairs of shoes and 24,000 lives changed,” said Kacky.
