Karen Reynolds Among Finalists for Women in Technology’s 2014 Women of the Year in Technology Award
Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) October 13, 2014 -- Women in Technology (WIT) announced the nine finalists for its 2014 Women of the Year in Technology Awards. Karen Reynolds, President of zBoost, was selected as one of the top three nominees in the Emerging/Small Business category.
Under her leadership, zBoost cell phone signal boosters expanded into new markets and increased sales by more than 35%. As President and CFO of zBoost, formerly Wi-Ex, Karen Reynolds has immersed herself in the technology, manufacturing and business aspects of the wireless industry. Reynolds brings over 25 years of operational, financial and consulting experience in service, technology, distribution and manufacturing industries for entrepreneurial-based and fast-growing companies. The FCC Report and Order “Improving Wireless Coverage for Consumers through the Use of Signal Boosters,” which was issued last year and in which more stringent technical standards for cellular signal boosters were adopted is an endorsement of the growing need for cellular signal boosters; Reynolds was instrumental in briefing the FCC commissioners regarding the industry. More than one Commissioner commented on the rarity of being briefed by a woman in the wireless industry.
