SWANTON, Ohio, Feb. 12, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Sediment Solutions, LLC and AquaBlok, Ltd, manufacturers of SediMite and AquaGate+PAC, are pleased to be moving towards a cooperative agreement to provide scientifically viable remedies using activated carbon (AC) to remediate sediments contaminated with PCBs, dioxins, pesticides, PAHs and other hydrophobic chemicals. The companies' products can be used to form a reactive layer beneath a cap, as part of a reactive cap, or for in-situ treatment of the biologically active zone of surface sediments. The products can also be tailored to a broad range of environmental conditions and water depths.
Because SediMite and AquaGate+PAC deliver smaller-sized AC relative to traditional GAC applications, treatment effectiveness is substantially increased for equivalent amounts of delivered AC. This enables cost-effective solutions and provides communities and responsible parties with increased confidence in treatment efficacy when using AC.
Sediment Solutions and AquaBlok intend to support the sediment remediation industry and their clients with patented technology and expertise.
