The above press release released almost 11 years ago has now withstood the test of time. To date, Dr Lewis Obi has treated almost 2000 patients with consistent results, short downtime and without a single major complication. Unfortunately for the public, SlimLipo™ branding, also known as LifeSculpt™, was terminated by a take over in 2014. CEO Joseph Caruso of Boston based Palomar Medical Technology sold his company to competitor Cynosure who manufactures Smart Lipo™.
As a veteran plastic surgeon and innovator in the areas of lasers and stem cell based procedures, Dr. Lewis Obi states "I have seen numerous technologies come and go in the area of body sculpting." French plastic surgeons first introduced traditional mechanical method of removing fat in the mid 1970's. SlimLipo™ delivers, dual wave lengths that simultaneously melts fat and significantly tightens skin. The liquified fat is completely removed with small cannulas with minimal bruising or pain.
