Originally an IT Consultant for multiple healthcare firms, Kommineni worked across the street from a MassageLuXe location. While expecting her son, she had frequented the location for prenatal massages. After a few sessions, she grabbed a franchising brochure.
"I loved the ambiance of the spa," said Kommineni. "I loved everything about MassageLuXe. I really wanted work-life balance with my husband working full time and raising two kids. It took two years to commit, but we love owning a franchise."
In fact, Kommineni loves owning a franchise so much, she's an Area Developer for the brand. The same way an HR rep may recruit a great candidate for a job, Kommineni is looking to recruit enthusiastic entrepreneurs to join the franchise in Indiana. Currently, Kommineni has another location in downtown Indianapolis opening early this Summer.
"I didn't think I'd have more than one store," says Kommineni. "Expanding our business has been an incredible journey. All of our spas are in small communities. I love creating jobs for the people in our area."
