West Palm Beach, Florida (PRWEB) November 04, 2015 -- College Game Day, an inaugural event sponsored by Braman Motorcars, will be held at the Meyer Amphitheater, on the waterfront in downtown West Palm Beach. The Merchant Strategy, Inc. is excited to announce that this event will take place on Saturday, November 28, 2015 and will be a one of a kind event featuring a full day of American college football rivalries. Guests will be able to follow the day’s games on two giant screens in the converted downtown Meyer amphitheater, and admission is FREE.
The Downtown Development Authority is host to a day for all demographics, from families to older Alumni. The highlight of the event will be the showdown between the two oldest public universities in the state of Florida: the Florida State University Seminoles versus the University of Florida Gators. These two teams have been competing since 1958. The Gators have the current bragging rights over the Seminoles with a record 34 – 23, with two games tied.
The day will be packed with entertainment and activities for children as well as adults, including the Palm Beach Central and Pahokee High School cheerleaders and marching bands playing Seminole and Gator fight songs, “stadium” vendors, field goal kicking and passing competitions, entertainment on the chalked off “Meyer Field” and autographs by former pro-players. Roger Dean Stadium pre-season schedules and information, South Florida Fair advance tickets, the Marmot Boca Raton Bowl information, and the new Florida Lottery game cards will all be available. On site news coverage includes WPEC TV12, WMEN 640 AM Sports, supporting the college football community event and promoting upcoming Bowl games.
A special Downtown Merchant Card will be handed out to anyone wishing to participate, offering food and drink specials to entice fans to check out the various businesses. Fans that have cards checked off by all merchants will be entered into a drawing for gift certificates from local restaurants and shops. MVP tickets for "50 yard line" reserved seats with complimentary food and beverages are available for $50 through the event website. Dock space is available for those who wish to arrive by boat and Clematis Street parking is free for anyone with proof of purchase from local merchants.
UBER, a ground transportation company that provides about 20,000 trips a week in Palm Beach County will be offering free rides to and from Game Day for first time users, up to $20. Across the country thirty-one percent of business travelers now use Uber for ground transportation topping taxi trips every month since April, as stated by CNBC.
